As we enter into the month of July, we are stepping into the next half of 2023. The Lord has been speaking to me that this next half must carry a different pace. Recently, I was on my way home one evening and I found myself driving through an area of horse farms. In Kentucky where I live, there are many beautiful horse farms. Kentucky is known for its thoroughbred horses and horse racing. The motto of Kentucky is the “unbridled spirit.”  But on this particular night it seemed like all the horses were out. This pack of beautiful horses caught my attention as they were galloping across the fields together. Jeremiah 12:5 NKJV, “If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, Then how can you contend with horses?”

God is desiring for His people to tap into another level of strength. When we run with the footmen, we’re running in our own strength. It’s easy to get worn down running with the footmen because, it causes us to strive. When we have the mindset of the footmen, we are constantly weighed down by menial everyday tasks. Footmen carry a slave mentality instead of a sonship mentality. In this hour the Lord wants to upgrade our capacity. We can’t accomplish what we need to while running with a “footmen” mentality. It’s similar to the saying, “You’re not called to be chicken on the ground, you’re called to soar with the eagles.”

Footmen tend to be more individualistic but, horses love to run in packs or herds together. In my studies I found that horses will pick a pack of horses to run with and stay with them for a few years. The purpose of these herds is to provide stability, protection from danger, and to multiply/increase. Horses carry a different stride than footmen. Horses are able to cover more ground and excel at a quicker pace. Horses are a representation of the might and strength of God. Horses move in power and strength as the Spirit of God does. In the Bible, the strength of an army was dictated but the type of horses and chariots the enemy possessed. Chariots represent power and glory. Proverbs 21:31 says, “The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance and victory belong to Lord.”

I’m reminded of the story in 2 Kings 6, where Elisha and his servant found themselves surrounded by horses and chariots, and troops. The servant was thinking from a “footmen” mentality overcome by what he saw. But the prophet called him up to a higher realm and prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see (2 Kings 6:17).” When he opened his eyes, he saw heaven’s army of horses and chariots of fire all over the hills. It’s time to let go of the footmen mentality, and step into the strength and might of God. You’ll be able to fight and conqueror on a new level in this season with the Spirit of God. God is releasing His unbridled Spirit in this hour. He’s breaking off every restraint and hindrance. This will be a season of multiplication and increase.

In July, this a time to enter into His rest. There’s a rest you’re going to find in His strength. The Lord is bringing a settling and peace to many hearts that have been unsettled in this time. Enter into His promise of rest (Hebrews 4). Believe His rest is for you. As you enter His rest, the Lord is separating and setting you apart, breaking off every burden you're not meant to carry. God is bringing the puzzle pieces together. His rest is resetting you for the second half of this year. I declare and decree may the unbridled Spirit of the Lord fill you and rest upon you the rest of 2023.

Pray For The Waters

We must continue to pray for the waters. The enemy is stirring the waters of nations. I saw in a vision the enemy is stirring the waters for war. I saw the warships of nations being strategically positioned like the game Battleship. We must all pray for the hurricane season. I saw a very strong hurricane forming in the Atlantic heading towards the east coast of America. Stay diligent in the place of prayer, there are many things taking place behind the scenes.
